Governance

All core staff and associates are appropriately qualified for the healthcare and research activities they undertake, and where required are registered with their own professional regulatory organisations (Nursing & Midwifery Council, Health & Care Professionals Council and/or General Medical Council).

The organisation has the appropriate level of public & employers liability insurance (provided by Irwell Insurance Company Limited) and Malpractice Insurance (Markel International Insurance Company Limited).

Those core healthcare activities that are subject to regulation (treatment of disease, disorder or injury) are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (Provider ID pending).

Our Director/Clinical Lead is advised by a Management Advisory Group (MAG) which includes relevant non-executive Board members, as well as medical advisors and lay person (service user). The MAG agrees all Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), Clinical Protocols, Patient Group Directions (for the administration of medicines) and employment policies and procedures.
